Det Norske touts first oil from Jette

Det Norske Oljeselskap (Detnor) ASA, has initiated production from the Jette field in the North Sea. Production from one of the two wells on the field started May 9, 2013.

Based on a recovery rate of 30%, the field contains between 6 and 7 million bo/e. Jette is expected to yield between 6000 and 7000 bo/d to Detnor.This is the first oil produced by Detnor as operator, representing a milestone for the company.

The start-up of production from Jette has proceeded as planned. First oil arrived at Jotun field from Jette on May 19. Production from the second well on Jette is expected to commence on May 22.

Trondheim-based Detnor is the operator of Jette, holding a 70% interest. Petoro AS holds 30% interest.

Jette (formerly Jetta) field is located in blocks 25/7 and 25/8 of the production license 027 D in the Norwegian North Sea. The field is one of the smallest to be developed in the North Sea, and lies in 127m (417ft) of water, about 6km from ExxonMobil's Jotun field.
