China opens 22 blocks in 2017

China’s CNOOC is opening 22 blocks for bids to foreign companies this year.

The 22 blocks cover an area of 47,270sq km, and are available for cooperation between CNOOC and foreign companies, the company says.

Data rooms opened last week on 12 April 12, and are set to close on 15 June 15. Closing date for bids is on 15 September 2017.

Of the 22 blocks, 16 are in the Pearl River Mouth Basin (East); two are in the Pearl River Mouth Basin (West); and four are in Bei Bu Wan.
