Delmar Systems has announced two promotions within the engineering group based in Delmar’s office in Houston, Texas.

John Shelton will assume the role of VP of engineering.  Shelton will continue to lead Delmar’s global technical effort while also focusing on the development of new tools and procedures to ensure the achievement of greater efficiencies in offshore mooring operations.

Shelton has been with Delmar for 12 years and has led the overall advancement of Delmar’s technical services. Shelton attributes Delmar’s past successes to the entire Delmar team’s commitment to providing superior service and solutions, which comes as a result of close coordination between Delmar’s engineering, operations, and sales teams.

Robert Garrity will become the engineering manager/chief engineer for the company. Garrity has been with Delmar for 11 years and has played a key role in ensuring that Delmar remains at the technical forefront of mooring for the offshore industry.

“These advancements are testimony to our continued commitment as the world leader in offshore mooring,” says Delmar Systems President Sherman Scott.

Delmar specializes in mooring offshore drilling rigs in the world’s most challenging environments. Headquartered in Broussard, LA, with engineering and subsea services based in Houston, TX, Delmar has provided offshore services for over 49 years to oil and gas regions around the globe.
