Quadrant in Spartan victory

Quadrant Energy discovered natural gas at the Spartan-1A well, offshore Western Australia, according to partner Santos.

Spartan-1A is 15km to the south-east of John Brookes, and is a potential future tie-back into existing infrastructure.

Spartan was a successful discovery west of Barrow Island, proving up a clearly commercial accumulation of gas in close proximity to existing facilities. Spartan highlights the additional potential for exploration in these mature areas and our ability to keep facilities such as Varanus Island full to capacity, Quadrant says.
