Kris Energy CEO retires

KrisEnergy's CEO Keith Cameron is to retire. He will be replaced by Jeffery S. Macdonald, a non-executive independent director of the company since 2009.

Kris Energy was founded in 2009, to focus on exploration in southeast Asia. Macdonald will take over as interim CEO effective 1 July 2016 until a successor has been appointed. Cameron will continue as an advisor to Macdonald, who will become an executive director.

Cameron was a founding director of KrisEnergy and prior to that a co-founder and CEO of Pearl Energy.

Macdonald was previously a Managing Director with First Reserve based in London, with responsibilities for investment origination, structuring, execution, monitoring and exit strategy, with particular emphasis on the oil and gas reserves sector.

Prior to joining First Reserve, he was a founder and CEO at Caledonia Oil and Gas, a UK independent E&P company, and before Caledonia, he was a founding member and Managing Director at Highland Energy Limited. Before joining Highland, he was the Managing Director and Chairman of Blackwatch Petroleum Services, an international E&P consultancy.

Earlier experiences include Managing Director at Production Testing Services, primarily managing Russia and the Middle East, and as an engineer and project manager with Conoco in London, Dubai and Houston.

Macdonald holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Glasgow University.
