Ziebel, a provider in composite rod well intervention for the oil and gas industry, announced that Francis Neill has been appointed to the position of chief executive officer.  In this capacity, which became effective 21 September 2015, Neill is responsible for the strategic direction and operating performance of the company.

Neill will be instrumental in helping to develop the company, in order to build strong revenue growth and optimize use of its distributed fiber optic sensing technologies. Ziebel’s well intervention systems make it possible to access and measure well flow parameters over the entire wellbore in real-time, enabling operators to adjust and maximize their wells’ performance.  The composite carbon Z-Rod technology also allows entry into restricted diameter and horizontal wellbores, and can be used to monitor most commonly pumped stimulation treatments.

Neill has experience in guiding companies to help them realize their full potential, delivering exceptional returns for investors and enhanced overall company performance. With 32 years in the oil and gas industry, Neill has in-depth experience and industry knowledge, particularly in the well intervention and subsea sectors. Before joining Ziebel, he acted for five years as CEO of EV, during which time he helped to grow the company from a UK-only company to an award-winning, multi-million pound global organization. He has served in a variety of executive management and engineering roles all over the world, which have taken him to Belgium, England, Egypt, Jordan, France, Texas, Louisiana and Scotland.
