Norway's Dolphin Geophysical has taken delivery of 7-Oceans, the first of three new-build seismic guard vessels.
The naming ceremony of the 7-Oceans took place in Maaskant Shipyard, Stellendam, South Holland, on 25 July 2014. The 370tonne ship is 35m x 9m and is flagged in Panama. It is classed by Lloyds Register, IACS.
This is the first of three new-build seismic guard vessels that Dolphin will take on long-term charter (4+ years) with Dutch shipowner Rederij Groen, based at Scheveningen harbor, near The Hague.
The 7-Oceans will soon join the Artemis Atlantic in the Barents Sea, as her first mission.
The second vessel under construction, 7-Waves, is due to be launched in October 2014, and the third vessel, 7-Stars, will be launched in Q1 2015.
